"We were told in america not to head down to Mexico how wrong were they!!! Was so safe in Ensenada, the hostel was ideal, and the staff took us on a wine tour which finished in a pool party at one of the local vine yards. The resturants and clubs are so nice, and horseback riding on the beach is a must!! (HostelWorld Guest) " See more reviews

Visit the Wine Route and discover our wine project

Alximia is a wine-making project born from the meeting of the senses and the world, with special attention to the earth, the plant, the fruit and its benefits. We are trying to understand, use and preserve nature.

Alximia is a family business focused on the work of the sensible. It is a group born at home, that appreciate the respect for the environment, in the tradition of teaching and knowledge transfer.

Alximia travels through the wine trail manifested in a free and existential thinking against the structured and accurate scientific thought process, daring to innovate. Started by a mathematician turned winemaker, this amazing winery was built by an innovative architect, the mathematician-winemaker and his astronomer father.

Whale Watching (December to April)

Each season from December 15 to April 15, enjoy the sightings of the magnificent gray whale migration on a journey from the cold northern seas of Alaska to the warm lagoons located at the center of the peninsula of Baja California. Traveling more than 10,000 miles, gray whales swim day and night for about four months. The whales swim near the coast and go either alone or in small groups. Thousands of people across North America on the shores of the Pacific Ocean each year admire the passing of these incredible creatures sometime almost to the brink of extinction.
