I loved the place, very near to the nice restaurants, art galleries and other interesting

Hey fellow travelers! If you guys start a trip in Baja norte, its a must to drop
by Ensenada and specialy by this Hostel. You will get precious info, the hostel
crew are more than helpfull, they will take you out for a beer, borrow them laptop
if needed and plenty of other free services as pick up and drop off at the bus station.

This place was amazing. There's this woman, Gabi, who's the manager of this hostel
and she runs it exactly how a hostel should be run. The common areas (living room,
backyard, kitchen) are unavoidable and also very spacious, so inevitably everyone
in the hostel becomes part of this awesome great big Ensenada family. What I experienced
in this hostel will be what I will carry along in life. I'm so thankful for my decision
to live there for 4 days.

Good location, close to restaurants, grocery stores, bars, etc... Staff was friends
and helpful. Took us out to the bars. friendly, relaxed atmosphere. We had a great

This was a fantastic hostel, great location for the city centre but still quite
for a good night sleep. The staff are very nice and can give a lot of information
on what to do in the area. The atmosphere at the hostel was very friendly and it
was very clean. A great hostel, a nice city and beautiful food!!

This hostel is awesome! We had a very good time, and the crew of the hostel is wonderful,
very friendly, they showed us as much as they could from this nice city. The rooms
are comfortable, and the bathromm as well. You can make nice excursions from here
to the desert, and see the big cacta. We had great fun! You have to try cerviche

It has been my first experience staying in an international hostel, and man I love
this concept and this idea. I am staying at hostels now onwards wherever I go. Make
new friends, meet new people. I wish I had ore time to stay here instead on just
one night, but I m definitely coming here again.. The receptionist Giva, was amazing
as a host even when she was tired and I walked in at like 3 AM on a saturday night.
So overall, I love this hostel and this concept.

We stayed at the hostel for 2 nights and enjoyed it so much we have decided to come
back in 2 weeks! The staff are really friendy and welcoming, offering to take us
to the winery and showing us the nightlife. The hostel is in a great location. We
couldn't fault it!

It's a nice place to meet different people. The hostel is safe and the people who
work there are very friendly. They put much effort in showing travelers around and
give insider tips where to go out and eat- you'll get to know the mexican way of
life. Definitely a nice place to stay.

Friendly relaxing vibes and exceptional hospitality from Gaby, Carlos and the team
- thankyou! Good location a short walk from the main tourist area and an easy trip
from San Diego. Free bike rentals is really good service too. Highly recommended,
would've liked to stay longer.

Bloody Awsume Mate!! From New Zealand spent two days with my wife and 3 friends
and lots of cerveza, a big BBQ were we cook lots of fish we caught that day and

This hostel is really nice, clean, fun sprited, and a little more ot it. It was
delight to stay, hope I could stayed a bit longer. Lots of info can be explained
for your way down south, where to stop during your trip, where you must buy gas
(some towns run out of gas), stores to buy supplies. Well this is the right place!

I really love this hostel. Good place to meet new people and the staff are all very
nice and friendly. It was my first time to visit Ensenada and they help me a lot
by answering all the questions and driving us to the nice restaurant near by.

Great place! Location is just next to busy cruise ship terminal so it's to almost

I stayed here for a few days whilst touring Baja by bicycle and it was perfect,
a relaxed atmosphere close to the town center but not to close to be bothered by
the masses getting off the cruise ships. I had a safe place to keep my bicycle,
the showers are warm and clean, the staff are bilingual, friendly and helpful, there's
nice kitchen for guest use, free breakfast and free internet. I stayed over xmas
and the owner, Carlos, bought charcoal for the guests to cook xmas lunch on the
BBQ and everyone at the hostel was involved. The hostel is still young (open less
than 2 years) but I think it will only get better!

friendly. They helped us get acuainted with the city and our surroundings, giving
us a map and helping us rent bicycles to op exploring. Accomodations were very nice

My 2 friends and I randomly landed in Ensenada and stumbled upon the Ensenada Backpacker.
We stayed 4 nights here and it was very welcoming. Everyone comes together, shares
food and community. The staff is helpful and genuinely cares that you feel comfortable.
We had a blast in Ensenada and a great stay overall!

The backpacker hostel has everything, I was looking for: Free Internet, bikes to
rent, safe and central location next to a French pastry shop! Between the friendly
travelers, some collective meals and helpful staff, this place is the best in BAJA!

Overall, I was very satisfied with Backpackers Ensenada Hostel. I enjoyed the friendly
atmosphere and the activities that they planned in the evenings such as the diner
and the percepolis movie. Other positive points include a clean bathroom and a great
shower with hot water, great sleep, the internet was great with fast services and
most importanly FREE. I think the location is great and I appreciate the travel
advise from both Alan & Carlos. The only thing I can say to improve is to have a
TV with movies, but this will minimize socializing among residents, that I wouldn't
like. Overall ... Great stay!!

Ensenada Backpacker is a nice clean hostel. Carlos is great with his suggestions
for various activities around. We had great time enjoying a few bars downtown -
very busy on tuesday with locals.

Walking up to the hostel, I was taken back with all the bars on the windows and
doors; still I continue on and rang the door bell. Carlos, the owner greet us with
a smile, joking with us as if we have been friends for years. He offered to show
us the rooms before we check in. The living room is brightly colored with yellow
and oranges and decorated with souvenirs from Carlo's travels. The rooms and bathrooms
are clean and light breakfast is available in the mornings. The best part of the
hostel is the hospitality and comfort put when staying there. I felt like I was
in a home, a very relaxing and enjoyable environment. Carlos gave us a list of all
the local best restaurants and sights as well as any touristic places we ask for.
He helped us see the Mexico I came to see, through a locals eyes. He's also more
than happy to take you to get food, the bus stop, or whatever else you need help
with. I recommend this hostel for everyone who wants the insider point of view of
the city, the comforters of home at an unbeatable price and a great host that knows
everything about Ensenada and the surrounding area.

What a great hostel! I had no idea what to expect before arriving in Ensenada, but
I was very nicely surprised when we got there. The hostel is very new, spacious
and comfy, and Carlos is a great host. He installs a real family-feel to the place,
and makes everybody feel welcome by including everyone in all activities. He also
arranged a great kayaking/snorkelling tour for us, and helped to find us a great
deep-sea fishing trip. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Ensenada Backpackers was very homely and welcoming. It was great because you really
got to know travellers in the hostel as its small and intimate, we made some lovely
friends in the 4 days we stayed. Its just 5 mins walk to all amenities in town.
A big plus for me were the really comfy, cosy couches and the big screen projector
for movie nights in. Really cool atmosphere around the hostel, definite thumbs up!

Ensenada backpackers was the best part of my visit to Ensenada, the staff were more
like friends who let you stay with them, very helpful and interested in your travels.
We had great times around the BBQ out back with staff and guests. Clean rooms, internet,

need for a clean, quiet atmosphere I encountered the Ensenada Backpacker. Not only
did Carlos (owner & operator) provide me with an exceptional Mexican Welcome, he
created a sense of comfort upon my arrival. I highly recommend not only a stop in
Ensenada but a stay here to relax, wash-up and enjoy the hearty Mexican flavor you?ve
been craving in your journeys but so rarely find. Be sure to inquire with Carlos
on his own personal journeys as he has quite an interesting assortment of personal

It's a nice place to stay. You will be picked up from the bus station and the people
are really nice and they will help you in any cases. The rooms and bathrooms are
clean and you will something to eat for breakfast and some coffee. I felt like I
